Skipaskagi is a horse-breeding farm owned by Jón Árnason and Sigurveig Stefánsdóttir. They started using the name Skipaskagi for their breeding in 2006, but before that their breeding was named after Akranes. Skipaskagi is located at Litla-Fellsöxl in West Iceland, close to the town Akranes. 

Working on the farm, together with Jón and Sigurveig, are Leifur Gunnarsson and their daugther Ólöf Helga Jónsdóttir. Skipaskagi has an excellent facilities for horse training, which includes a big and good riding hall, a horse walker, a horse vibration plate, and a big and spacious stable. Around the farm there are many good riding paths in the nature. 

The breeding goal of Skipaskagi is to breed big, beautiful and lightly-built horses with a lot of talent and good temperament. Skipaskagi has been nominated as ‘Breeding farm of the year’ in the years 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021 & 2022.
